BACKGROUND CHECKS


All school employees hired after 2013 who work in the schools and who may have direct and un-monitored contact with children are required to complete a national background check. Individuals are required to pay a fee to comply with this requirement. It is a condition of employment that all newly hired employees must be CORI-checked and fingerprinted prior to the start of their assignment.

Fingerprinting Process

To register for a date, time and location for fingerprinting, please visit IndentoGo. They have locations in Haverhill, Methuen, Danvers, Billerica, Everett and Waltham. Please bring an appropriate form of identification and the appointment confirmation page with you to the fingerprinting center.

  • $35 for non-licensed employees (teaching assistants, custodians, clerical staff, cafeteria employees & seasonal staff) 

  • $55 for license-holders (teachers & administrators) 

  • You will need to pay with a credit card when registering online for your appointment.

  • North Andover's "Provider ID" is 02110000


Suitability Letters

If you have worked in another school system and have had fingerprints done already, you will need to request a letter of suitability from your previous workplace. Include your name, DOB, and timeframe for your employment, as well as, an email address or mailing address as to where the letter should be sent. Letters usually take about seven days to generate.
