New Employee Information

Welcome to North Andover Public Schools!  

As a new employee, there are several forms that are required before the hiring process can be completed.  

The file, New Employee Payroll Packet, includes all the forms that are required for payroll purposes.  You may download and complete much of the packet online.  Please print and submit all completed paperwork in person to the Office of Human Resources located in the District Office.  Be sure to bring two (2) forms of ID to complete the CORI and I-9 Verification.  Acceptable forms of ID are: 
  • Driver's License and Social Security Card or Birth Certificate or
  • current US Passport

Health Benefits are offered by the Town of North Andover.  All employees who regularly work 18.75 hrs or more per week in a 37.5-hour workweek or 20 hours in a 40-hour workweek are eligible for Health Benefits through the Group Insurance Commission (GIC). Completed enrollment forms must be submitted to the Payroll/Benefits office within 10 days of start date.

Forms for GIC:

Dental Insurance – North Andover offers voluntary coverage through the Delta Dental PPO Plus Premier Plan. Employees must work a minimum of 20 hours a week and can enroll in either the individual or family plan within 30 days of the date of hire or during Open Enrollment which is held in November with an effective date of January 1. Coverage starts 30 days after hire date and is deducted 1 month before the effective date.

Life Insurance – North Andover offers a Basic Term Life/AD&D Insurance Policy in the amount of $2,000 with Prudential Financial.  There is a one month waiting period and deductions are taken one month in advance, the cost to the employee is $1.25 a month.  This benefit is for employees only.

An Optional Term Life Insurance Policy is also offered in $5,000 increments to a maximum amount of $20,000.   The cost is determined by the amount of insurance and based on employee’s age.  This benefit is for employees only.  The biweekly administrative fee is .75.

Employees must be enrolled in the Basic Term Life Insurance if he/she wishes to enroll in the optional life insurance. Optional Life Insurance is canceled on last day of employment.  Group Life Insurance will continue if you retire from the Town of North Andover. Please complete and submit the Prudential enrollment form.   

Employee Assistance Program – A free confidential employee assistance plan is available from MIIA AllOne Health and offers employees resources, counseling and referrals 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, call 800-451-1834 or MIIA ALLONE HEALTH EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
