RAISE in the Community

North Andover Youth Center - The Youth Center offers programs for middle school and high school aged students. Programs fall into the following categories: adventure, social/recreational, leadership, support services, and court-related services. North Andover Public Schools has also partnered with the Youth Center to provide inclusive summer experiences.
Understanding Our Differences -  Disability awareness curriculum that teaches children to see the whole person and better understand the peers with disabilities. The curriculum covers Blindness and Low Vision, Deafness and Hard of Hearing, Autism,  Physical Disabilities, Intellectual Disabilities, Learning Disabilities, and Chronic Medical Conditions such as Allergic Conditions, Asthma, Diabetes, and Epilepsy.

The Boston Celtics - In conjunction with the Play Ball! Foundation, the Celtics are offering a series of 3 workshops to selected students of the Lawrence and North Andover Public Middle Schools to inspire dialog around the unique role that sports can play in teaching the values of diversity and inclusion and promoting conflict resolution. The three goals for these workshops are: Discussions involving the issues of diversity and inclusion, ways to respond and the “power of the bystander," and how to lead a similar conversations with younger kids. Each workshop is attended by members of the Celtics coaching staff and players on the current Celtics Roster. 


Sargent School Holiday Video - During the 2017 Winter Holidays, the students at the Sargent Elementary School put together a video showcasing all of the different holidays that students celebrate.
