Dear Franklin Families,
Thank you to all who attended Pasta Palooza last Thursday night. Our fifth graders did an amazing job of serving and entertaining the diners. The food, ambiance and serenading were incredible. We are looking forward to an equally fun and successful Variety Show this week. Please mark your calendars and plan to attend to enjoy performances by our many talented students. The faculty has been practicing diligently to perfect our opening act!
Chess Club: Attention all present and future chess players! The Franklin School Chess Club is accepting registrations this week. The club is open to grades K-5 with no prior experience necessary. Registration forms are due back by February 5 th. Meetings will be held before school, Thursday mornings from 7:15 to 8:15 in the Franklin School library. Parents who would like additional information are welcome to email parent coordinator Mrs. Vidya Iyer at vidyaiyer@yahoo.com.
Box Tops: The Box Tops contest is here! Please bring your Box Tops to your classroom between February 1st and February 5th. The classroom with the most Box Tops will win a class prize. Any questions, contact Jen Jones at 978-794-4694.
Library News: During the month of February we will be launching a drive to get every Franklin School student a library card. The Stevens Memorial Library is a wonderful community resource that we encourage every family to take advantage of. Registration forms will be coming home this week.
UNICEF Drive: In support of the relief effort in Haiti, the Franklin School Student Council will be coordinating a fund raising drive to collect donations for UNICEF. Watch for further information from the Student Council.
Winter Reminders: Please continue to help your children dress appropriately for winter weather. Students are required to wear boots and snow pants to play in the snow. Warm jackets, hats and gloves are strongly recommended everyday. We request that children have a change of shoes for inside the building.
