The Budget Process PDF Print E-mail
The budget process for the schools begins with the publication by the School Committee of the School Budget Directives. These directives outline the broad goals for the review, maintenance and expansion of educational services to the students of North Andover.

Using these directives, as well as the goals of the District Improvement Plan and the MCAS Student Performance Targets, the Superintendent, school Principals, and other district leaders, develop the Superintendent's Budget, which is presented to the School Committee.

The Superintendent of Schools presented his FY11 Budget to the School Committee on December 17, 2009. The School Committee has conducted meetings in January to hear and discuss department reports from Principals and administrators that provide narrative and data evidence to support the budget presented by the Superintendent. On January 21, 2010, the School Committee Public Hearing on the FY11 Budget was conducted at Town Hall. The presentation made at this Public Hearing is included in the links below.

On Tuesday, January 26, the School Committee will vote on its FY11 North Andover School Budget.
