5-2-1-0 Screen Time: - We are starting the next phase of the 5-2-1-0 Program. The goal for March is to reduce screen time to 2 hours per day or less. Screen time includes: television, computers (excluding homework), video games, and hand held video games. Remember, you may choose any 14 days in the month of March to monitor and track your screen time habits. The goal tracker for the month of March was sent home last week, watch for a paper this week with a TV survey and suggestions for reducing television viewing in your home. Reducing TV and screen time provides more time to participate in physical activities. Children often eat unhealthy food while watching TV and television advertising may impact children’s food choices.
Please feel free to call with any questions or feedback. 978-794-3849, Mary Hadjian.
