5-2-1-0 April- Be Physically Active One Hour Every Day
Many students turned in their goal trackers for March. I enjoyed hearing about the different activities students chose to participate in to replace “screen time.”
This year we are fortunate to have members of the community volunteer their time and talents so we can provide a physical activity reward to the class with the highest participation each month. The winner for the Month of March was again Mrs. Jenning’s kindergarten class. Congratulations to this very enthusiastic class! The second place class was Mrs. Coehlo, 2nd grade and Mrs. Marshall’ kindergarten class came in third for participation.
The goal for April is to participate in one hour of physical activity every day, some examples include sports practice, playing outdoors, physical education class, and/or outdoor recess. The goal trackers were sent out in advance last week on light blue paper. Remember, we are just trying to encourage participation in the program to raise awareness of healthy behaviors. Extra goal trackers are available in the health office. Please remember to have your child write their name on the goal tracker.
Please feel free to call with any questions or comments. Health office direct line: 978-794-3849.Mary Hadjian, R.N.
