The Spring Concert Information for May 14th –Please have students arrive at the following times:
Guitar Club –    5:45                             
Band                6:00                              Showtimes for Grades K-2, Band and Guitar Club are 6:30 – 7:15 ish
Grades K-2       6:15                             
Grades 3-5        7:10                              Showtimes for Grades 3-5, Band and Guitar Club are 7:30 – 8:15 ish
 
All Students are expected to attend.   If your child cannot attend all or a portion of the concert, please call the school before Thursday. This information is needed to make final preparations before the concert. There will be no dress code but we ask that the students wear something from the nicer end of their wardrobe.
 
Chess Club Coordinator Needed - Are you looking for a way to get involved with the children at Kittredge?  Do you enjoy playing chess?  We need a chess club coordinator for the next school year.  There have been 15-20 kids involved in chess club for the past couple of years and our faithful coordinator has chosen to retire.  The group meets once per week before school, but can be flexible re: meeting times for next year.  If interested, contact Christine Karelas ckarelas@comcast.net.

School Lunch Program Information – When you are prepaying for school lunch tickets, please make checks out to the North Andover School Lunch Program.  We cannot accept checks made out to the Kittredge School.

BOX TOPS!! BOX TOPS!!  The Kittredge PTO would like to thank the fifth grade girls for organizing the Box Tops contest. Mr. Brady's classroom collected 316 Box Tops! The school has raised $423 this year. Box Tops can be found on so many items that you use each day.....check it out at www.boxtopsforeducation.com.
 
FUDDRUCKERS NIGHT:  A special thank you to JoAnn Cooperstein and Sheila Konovalchik for organizing this event! Thank you to the parents and students who supported our school by attending the fundraiser. The PTO received $382 from the event.
 
 
Spring Hill Gift Cards  - Thank you to all the Kittredge School families who purchased Spring Hill gift cards.
The PTO earned $228 from this fundraiser.
 
FLU Talk - The nurse has visited all the classrooms to talk about hygiene measures and the prevention of illness. At home we ask parents to encourage frequent handwashing, to reinforce that children cough or sneeze into their sleeve instead of their hands, and to remind children to avoid touching their mouth, nose, or eyes.
If your child is ill with flu like symptoms, please keep your child home from school, contact your doctor and please inform the school. Symptoms of flu include fever, cough, and sore throat. They can also include body aches, headache, chills and feeling very tired and sometimes diarrhea and vomiting.
 
Enrichment Council - The North Andover Schools' Enrichment Council (a non-profit volunteer  group that funds art, music and science performances in the schools) is  seeking several key volunteers for the 2009-2010 calendar year. Earth Day Celebration, Town gets No Idling Zone grant - Beginning in September schools will be a No Idling zone in concert with the new law coming out in the summer.  If anyone is interesting in working with the Green Team to roll out this initiative please contact Lisa Conti, larconti@yahoo.com.
 
Fall 2009 Soccer Registration -NASA will only be accepting On Line registrations. Questions should be addressed to registrar@nasoccer.com   All U12 Players interested in playing in D1 or D2 Travel MUST register by May 14th.   Tryouts dates will be posted at www.nasoccer.com.   U12- D3 Interested Players MUST register by June 14th.      All other In-Town players must register by August 14, 2009.  Go to the NASA website for more details. – www.nasoccer.com.

All citizens are welcome to come and learn about the results of a community assessment of the Town of North Andover and the prevalence of Lyme Disease from 5:30 – 7 PM. This was conducted and will be presented by nursing students from U-Mass Lowell. Also, a Public Health panel will be available to answer your questions.
