The 8th grade band received the highest award given at the festival, a platinum medal. The NAMS jazz band recieved a gold medal for their performance. After the festival the students spent the afternoon at Six Flags New England for some well deserved fun. Kittredge Spring Concert

The Kittredge Spring Concert was held on May 22 at North Andover High School. The concert included the All-Town Elementary Band, the Elementary Orchestra, the Kittredge Guitar Club, and the RAISE-Ins.

  • The All-Town Elementary Band has representation from all five elementary schools, with approx 42 students participating!
  • The Elementary Orchestra (this is its first year) has 10 students participating!
  • The Kittredge Guitar Club has approximately 50 students (grades K-5) participating!
  • And our BRC-inspired Kittredge band...The RAISE-Ins has 15 members - singers, guitars, percussion, recorders, etc!

These dedicated students (and their parents) make time to have their music lessons and school-based practices before school, after school, and during recesses. In addition, they all practice at home! Mr. Cushing and his committed group of musical instructors have encouraged and inspired these children and have become a catalyst in their love for music and musical performance!

Not only is this an inspirational program in itself, but it will certainly strengthen the music program at NAMS as these students move from elementary school to Middle School!
