A KEY TO COLLEGE FAIRS

NACAC – National Association for College Admissions Counseling

NEACAC – New England Association for College Admissions Counseling

NACAC sponsors National College Fairs across the United States during the fall and spring semesters. Typically, the National College Fairs are held in the New England area in the spring. College Fairs for the Performing and Visual Arts are sponsored by NACAC in the fall only.

NEACAC sponsors College Fairs in the New England area mainly in the fall.

College Fairs allow students to meet admission reps from a wide range of colleges and briefly discuss course offerings, admission and financial aid requirements and college life in general. In order to get the most out of a college fair, students and parents should review the list of college fair participants before the fair. They should then prepare a short list of questions unique to the student, which are not readily available on college websites or in brochures. Finally, map out the route beforehand, selecting which college booths they will visit.

College participants vary from fair to fair. To see a complete listing of college participants for both the NACAC and NEACAC College Fairs, visit their websites at:

·        Then on Fall Fair Schedule
