College Rep Visit Program at NAHS |

|
In the fall semester, college admissions representatives are invited to NAHS to give presentations about their schools to our juniors and seniors. The visits are scheduled during the months of September, October and November and are held in the mornings at 8:30 a.m., 9:00 a.m., and 9:30 a.m. The presentations lasts 30 minutes and all interested juniors and seniors are welcome to attend. These sessions will give students the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge about particular colleges on their college search list. In addition, this may be an opportunity to meet the admissions representative who will initially read his/her application. A calendar and schedule of college representative visits are posted here and in the Guidance Office. Please check this website periodically for changes and additions to the schedule. We encourage parents and students to carefully review the schedule, and identify which sessions the student would like to attend. Students must complete a permission slip for each College Rep Visit, and obtain teacher approval to miss class. Students will be required to give teachers at least 2 days advance notice of the visit. It is at the teacher’s discretion, whether or not permission is granted. Please note that it is the responsibility of the student to make-up any work he/she has missed. Once permission is granted, students should go to the Guidance Office and sign up for the College Rep Visit in the green logbook located in the Pennant Room to the left as you enter the Guidance Office. The signed permission slip will be collected at the time of the college visit. You can print off a page of blank college rep permission slips, or you may obtain them in the Guidance Office Pennant Room.
