Greetings! The students, staff and administration of North Andover High School welcome you to our website. We are confident that you will find the information on this site useful and that you will learn more about what makes North Andover High School a special place. Dedicated on May 21, 1867, North Andover’s first public high school building was Johnson High School, named for Colonel Theron Johnson who donated $10,000 for the building of the school. Moses T. Stevens donated $5,000 and General Eben Sutton donated the clock tower for the new school. In 1954, with the opening of the new building, Johnson High School became North Andover High School. Our current state-of-the-art facility opened in February 2004. Enrolling more than 1300 students, North Andover High School offers a variety of programs for its student body, ninety percent (90%) of whom go on to two or four year colleges. Those programs include 10 Advanced Placement courses, 3 foreign languages, interdisciplinary courses, a growing program of elective offerings, and a career pathways program. Complementing the classroom curriculum are many co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. North Andover is committed to providing a well-rounded education to its high school students. The community takes pride in its strong high school academic program, celebrated fine arts program, competitive athletic teams, and well-recognized student publications. North Andover High School values the various student organizations that foster leadership, service and social awareness among its student body. Our parents are extremely dedicated and active: participating in our PAC (Parent Advisory Council), PICC (Planning & Information for College/Career Committee), NAHS School Council, NAMA (North Andover Music Association), and NAAA (North Andover Athletic Association) as well as various individual booster groups for our academic and athletic programs. Through our curriculum, co-curricular programs, and extra-curricular programs, North Andover High School seeks to meet as many of the educational needs of its students as possible. We are concerned about all our students, whatever their backgrounds, abilities, interests and ambitions. We pride ourselves on knowing our students and making certain they know we care about them as people first, then students. Thank you for your interest in North Andover High School.
