Wellness

The Wellness Program covers both the physical and social aspects of making positive lifestyle choices. This is done through an exploration of a variety of topics including: Tobacco, Marijuana and Alcohol, Human Growth and Development, Nutrition, and Stress.

The Physical Education program taught by Matthew Abel and Mary Beth Chesler is in compliance with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and the National Association of Physical Education and Sports.

This year our students participated in a number of diverse units. These included, cross country, ultimate frisbee, volleyball, outdoor volleyball, floor hockey, street hockey, basketball, project adventure and the Presidents fitness challlenge.

Our Physical Education program has been awarded a PEP grant for the development and implementation of an adventure fitness course to be offered in the fall of 2010.
