It all began last year...... |

It all seemed so unreal over a year ago when it was proposed that a small 10 classroom preschool building could help with the overcrowding of the elementary schools. After a lot of hard work from many people, it is truly a reality as you can tell from our pictures. The new preschool building is scheduled to open in September of 2009 and according to our builders, it is right on schedule!. I cannot go on without thanking the North Andover School Committee, the North Andover Building Committee, NA Public School Administration team and so many others that have helped our dream come true! We also thank the town of North Andover for approving the funds to move ahead with our building.
As you can see from our pictures, the building is moving ahead fast. We have contracted with Triumph Builders and they are right on schedule. They have been wonderful in providing me with weekly pictures. It would be exciting for you to share these pictures with your children so they can see how our new building came to be when they actually join us in September. We will continue to update the pictures on a regular basis so you can see the progress being made.
Many people have thought that because they have not seen any building on the Atkinson School property, the building is not happening or is not on schedule. As you probably can guess from the pictures, the building is modular and is being built in Pennsylvania. Framing has been done, electrical is being done and colors have been chosen (probably the biggest decision out of all decisions if you know what I mean!!!!). If we are lucky, and some of this snow that is falling today actually melts, you will see action on site by week's end.
