BABY FOOD DRIVE:
The Sargent School's 5th grade Junior Girl Scout Troop #177 is helping to support the People's Pantry by hosting a baby food drive during the month of March. If you would like to contribute they are looking for all types of canned baby foods as well as dry cereals. A donation box will be marked and located in the front entryway beginning on Monday, March 14th, and the collection will continue through April 11th. Thank you for your consideration. Destination ImagiNation:
Congratulations to the 8 teams of Sargent Students who will be showcasing solutions to their Destination ImagiNation challenges at this week’s Tournament! On Saturday, March 19th, 45 Sargent Students will be at the Triton Regional School in Byfield displaying their work for the last few months. Three teams of children in grades K-2 will perform the Rising Stars Challenge “Big Bugs Bad Day”. Five teams will be competing in the Grades 3-5 Level. Four teams are completing the Structural/Architectural Design challenge “Versus, Foiled Again!” while one team will do the Theater, Literature, and Fine Arts challenge “Triple Take Road Show”. Good luck to all the participants and have a great time!
North Andover Kindergarten and First Grade Father/Daughter School Dance
The second annual North Andover Kindergarten and First Grades School Dance is scheduled for April 30th from 6:30 - 8:30 pm at NAMS . This event is open to all North Andover residents.
Tickets will be on sale for one day only on Saturday April 9th from 9-12 at Kittredge School. Or tickets can now be purchased online at http://naschooldance.eventbrite.com/. Cost of the tickets are $25 per family (with a small fee if purchasing online.)
Meet Author Elizabeth Atkinson: Tues., March 29
Stevens Memorial Library invites you to gather at 5pm in the Rotunda on Tuesday, March 29th to meet author Elizabeth Atkinson. Ms. Atkinson will discuss her work and her book, I, Emma Freke - this month's 5th Grade Book Club choice. Booklist says, "This rick story of self-acceptance offers readers much to think about: contrasting family patterns, appropriate schooling for very bright children, conformity, and respecting differences." Please join us whether you have read the book or not. If you would like to read the book, please ask the Library to get a copy for you.
