Green Tip of the Week: Earth Day 2011

Why not try something new this year? Earth Day is the perfect opportunity to make positive improvements in your lifestyle that also betters the environment. Friday, April 22nd, 2011 marked the 41st anniversary of Earth Day. Why not make this YOUR time to go green? Here are some quick tips to get you started:

• Pay your bills online. If every house in the United States did this, we would save 18 million trees every year!?

• Make the most of your reusable bags- Bring your own reusable bags to the store to spare the use of plastic bags. They now come in all different types of patterns and colors, so being green can be trendy!

•  Keep a list of what our school recycles on your desktop to refer to or post a copy on your fridge as a reminder! Collection bins for food items are in the café, non-food items are near the Lost & Found rack.
