Committee Announcementes
Fun Run Due to the flooding/snow/damage/loss of power from this past weekend's storm, the Fun Run has been postponed to next Thursday 11/10.
Lost & Found Please check to see if you are missing any items! All will be removed to be given to Charity at the end of the day Thursday Nov. 10th. An effort is made to return items that are clearly labeled with last names, but the PTO is not responsible for lost items! Usually only the oldest unclaimed items are donated first, but due to the overwhelmingly large number of items, this has been too difficult to maintain. All items left at the end of the day Nov. 10 will be removed. If you have any questions contact Cindy Custer: thecusters@comcast.net
5th Grade Committee Our next all-5th grade committee meeting will be re-scheduled New date and time will be announced soon. Thank you! Kim (KimHearst@comcast.net), Snowy (JimSnowy@yahoo.com) and Chris (cgfarr@verizon.net)

Attention All Parents of Trick-Or-Treaters! Are you looking for any destination for your child's Halloween bounty besides his or her teeth and belly?! Then be on the lookout for the Candy for the Troops drive coming this week! Let your child dispense their least favorite treats right into a ziploc destined for school. Dr. Anne Todd, DMD, MMSc of North Andover will be collecting extra candy from the North Andover schools November 7th - 10th and sending the stash to the Troops serving our Country! Thank you! Any questions, please email Heather Ursu at heatherursu@hotmail.com
Sargent annual coat drive begins OCT.17th. Coats for Kids, sponsored by Anton’s Cleaners, begins October 17th and runs through January 8th. Please help out by bringing in your gently used coats of all sizes for children, adults and babies – please no rips, tears, broken zippers or permanent stains – coats you would give to a friend to wear. The coats will be cleaned and distributed in MA and NH to those in need this holiday season. This year Sargent will again participate in the SCHOOL REWARDS program which honors the top three elementary schools that collect the most coats per student enrolled. So clean out your closets and get involved in supporting this worthy cause! A large, marked bin will be located in the main entrance for you to drop off your donations beginning October 17th. Any questions, please contact Heather Ursu (heatherursu@hotmail.com) or Lynne Khater (lkhater@comcast.net), Community Involvement.
Trick or Treat for UNICEF: This week the familiar orange cardboard box for UNICEF will be sent home in your child’s backpack. We hope that you will assemble the UNICEF box with your child and read through the materials together. This is a simple way to involve your child in a charity – one that provides food, water, medicine, and hope to needy children all over the world. This is a voluntary program sponsored by the PTO, and we hope that you will help us continue the Sargent tradition of giving to UNICEF. Please encourage your child to bring their box trick-or-treating with them, asking for small donations, or simply give some of their own change towards this charity. Please return the boxes to school by Friday, November 11th. If you have any questions please contact Carmel Calandra-Fischer at cmcalandra@verizon.net, Community Involvement. THANKS!
