posted Nov 5, 2018, 8:26 AM by Hillary Stasonis   [ updated Nov 5, 2018, 8:27 AM ]

The Live Your Learning Educational Fund (LYLEF) was created to support students who lack financial means to take advantage of learning opportunities, both domestic and international. LYLEF opens doors to students, many of whom have not had experiences outside of their own community, who would not be able to participate in these rich educational experiences without financial aid.

Volunteers Needed for Understanding Our Differences

posted Dec 4, 2017, 7:14 AM by Hillary Stasonis

Understanding Our Differences (UOD) is a nationally recognized, educational program that teaches elementary school children to develop understanding and respect for fellow students and others with physical, sensory or developmental disabilities. Students in grade 3-5 at all elementary schools will participate in two programs this school year. Programs typically start with a 30 minute video or presentation about the disability, followed by 3-4 small group activities that run about an hour, and finish with a speaker and Q&A. We need volunteers to help with the small group activities.

VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED for this special program!

Your child does not need to be in the class to volunteer, anyone can!
  • There is a 20 minute online training session for all volunteers.
  • Volunteers must have a current CORI on file with the elementary schools. Here is a link to the CORI form:
  • More Dates Coming Soon. Programs are scheduled for the entire school year. We post volunteer opportunities a couple of months in advance and will add new dates throughout the year.
