Winter Clothing Drive to Benefit the Wish Project

Currently, we are collecting
gently used coats, boots, hats, gloves, scarves, and blankets for a local charity called the The Wish Project.  Bins to collect these items are located in the main entrance area at Sargent. The drive will run until Tuesday, January 16th.  All items should be washed, but do not need to be dry cleaned.

So what exactly is The Wish Project?  The Wish Project is a critical resource for furniture, household, and baby goods, that serves families in need in our community.  Merrimack Valley communities have some of the highest poverty rates in the state, and Massachusetts ranks sixth as the most expensive state for renters.  In any given week, there are large numbers of families with children sleeping on floors in largely unfurnished apartments.   Without The Wish Project, these families have very few affordable options.  Household needs are a burden that many families cannot carry, so they simply go without.  With support from The Wish Project, these families are able to manage their expenses, reducing the likelihood of becoming homeless.  You can read more about Wish on their website,

We hope to make a big difference here at Sargent and collect a large donation of these winter items to give to this important charity! Your help is greatly appreciated!
