Our Mission
The mission of the North Andover Public Schools is to cultivate a respectful community of engaged learners, insightful thinkers, and effective communicators. We do this by providing a vibrant learning community for students in grades preschool through 12. We are committed to ensuring that all of our students are provided an equal opportunity to an excellent education. Our hope is that the strong educational foundation our students receive will allow them to access numerous opportunities beyond our walls.

Office of Public School Monitoring Final Report for Special Education & Civil Rights
Every three years, the North Andover School District undergoes an audit by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE), known as a Public School Monitoring Review (PSM). Our most recent audit took place in November 2024. This year, the focus of our PSM was in two areas: Special Education and Civil Rights. Our audit took place over the course of 2 days in November and included an on-site review of our buildings and interviews with staff and community members.
The results of the Special Education and Civil Rights portions of our Public School Monitoring Report were released to the public on February 21, 2024. The Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education announced "We are pleased to tell you that the Department has found your district to be in compliance with all Group B Universal Standards monitored during the PSM Review, and no corrective action is required at this time."
As a district, we were very pleased with these results. North Andover continually strives to improve our practices and receiving positive feedback from DESE that we are doing well by our students is very important.

Welcome to North Andover Reads 2024!
What do Rachel Carson and Robert Frost have in common? They both use the analogy of a road to talk about the future and making choices. Rachel Carson wrote about “The Other Road” in Silent Spring, how choices made affect the environment, our Earth. Robert Frost wrote “The Road Not Taken”, how choices made today affect the future.
Please join us to read, to attend a program, to have a conversation, to make a difference. This year join others and the many Town of North Andover people on “The Other Road: Moving Towards a Greener Earth” to make North Andover, Massachusetts, USA, North America, the Earth a greener place.
North Andover Reads is a joint effort of the Stevens Memorial Library and the North Andover Public Schools. Each year, books, programs, exhibits and more are chosen around a particular theme and highlight our R.A.I.S.E. initiative
