Superintendent's Advisory Committee Urges Exploration of New Technology for Learning

At the beginning of April 2011, the Superintendent formed an Advisory Committee to make recommendations for the use of technology in the North Andover Schools. The report charts a path for strategic technology planning and implementation. As the Superintendent's Blog on Technology Horizons says, "We cannot afford to wait. In the schools, we must use that part of our mission to create a community of engaged learners. Many of our teachers are vigorously poised to take part in this challenge to meet the expanding horizon of teaching and learning." Pilot projects involving assistive technology, the use of interactive devices, and e-curriculum are already underway in our schools. We need to build on these projects and pilots to create an environment of universal connectivity and engaged learning.
