A Message from Mr. Gilligan

Greetings!

The students, staff and administration of the Thomson Elementary School welcome you to our website. We are confident that you will find the information on this site useful and that you will learn more about what makes the Thomson School a special place.

The Thomson School opened in 1924. The school was named in honor of Albert E. Thomson. Mr. Thomson grew up on Waverly Road  and was the first North Andover Soldier killed in combat during World War I, on July 20, 1918, near Chateau-Thierry, France. In 1999 the new school was constructed next to the "old Thomson" and that spring, students and staff moved into our current building.

The Thomson School is a dynamic learning environment where students are cared for and challenged each and everyday. Teachers provide students with opportunities for academic and social growth that build on community values and beliefs.

Thank you for your interest in the Thomson School. If you have any questions or would like to visit , please call (978-794-1545) or email (gilligang@northandover.k12.ma.us) at any time.

Respectfully,

Gregg T. Gilligan, M.Ed., CAGS
Principal
