Welcome Room Parents! PDF Print E-mail

Thank you for your interest in becoming a Room Parent in your child's class!

Room Parent is just another name for Parent Volunteer!  You can take on many different tasks throughout the year to help out your child's classroom.  You may choose to bake for a holiday celebration, donate craft materials, help out during the party, take pictures during these celebrations and other class events through the year for the yearbook -  among others.  It can be rewarding and lots of fun!!!

Each class will have a "Head Room Parent".  The Head Room Parent will be the one contact the teacher has to make.  The Head Room Parent in turn will be in charge of coordinating volunteers to complete the teacher's requested tasks.  Please consider that committing to the job of Head Room Parent means you will spend more time that a regular classroom volunteer, coordinating ideas with your child's teacher and other room parents, soliciting volunteers, collecting funds for the gift drives, etc. We suggest if you'd like to be a room parent volunteer in more than one classroom please consider being Head Room Parent for only one class.

Please be sure you have an up to date CORI form!  A CORI form is good for 3 years.  If you are unsure of your CORI status, please fill out another CORI form to be on the safe side.  Parents without a CORI will not be allowed to volunteer per the school district policy!
