Franklin Principal Update
Dear NAPS Community
I’m pleased to share some exciting news about the leadership of Franklin Elementary School. Following a thorough and inclusive search process, we are proud to announce the appointment of Mrs. Nicole Radulski as the next Principal of Franklin School.
This search brought together a wide range of voices from our community. A dedicated committee, made up of teachers, parents, school committee members, and administrators, interviewed a strong pool of candidates and thoughtfully engaged in the process.
Many of you already know Mrs. Radulski, who is currently the Assistant Principal at both Franklin and Thomson Schools. She is excited to take on this new role and continue serving the Franklin community in a new capacity.
Before stepping into her current role, Mrs. Radulski was a Literacy Coach for the district and played a key role in the rollout of our literacy program, Wit & Wisdom. She also taught at Thomson School for 13 years, including six years as lead teacher. In addition to her experience in North Andover, she is an adjunct professor at Merrimack College and a program supervisor for elementary education students.
Earlier in her career, Mrs. Radulski worked as a special education teacher in Beverly, Massachusetts. Her depth of experience in both general and special education has made her a strong instructional leader.
Mrs. Radulski also has deep roots in the North Andover community. Her three children attended Franklin School, where she was an active classroom and PTO volunteer. She has long supported local events, from coordinating the children's fun run for the 4th of July Road Race to championing youth athletics and the North Andover Youth Center.
Throughout the interview process, Nicole stood out for her deep knowledge of our curriculum, her classroom presence, and her ability to connect with staff. She is known for being approachable, communicative, and thoughtful in her leadership. She shared a strong vision for increasing student voice and choice while continuing to nurture Franklin's strong sense of community.
In her own words, Nicole shared:
“I am thrilled and honored to be selected as the next leader of the Franklin School. Having lived in North Andover for over 20 years and worked here as an educator, this community is deeply important to me. All three of my children attended Franklin, and I treasure the special memories we made as a family. I now look forward to creating new memories with your children and continuing the school’s tradition of excellence.”
We are confident that under Mrs. Radulski’s leadership, Franklin School will continue to thrive and grow. Please join me in congratulating her on this well-deserved appointment.
Warm regards,
Pamela Lathrop, Superintendent
