Health Dept. Response

As we welcome all of our students and staff back this school year, we will implement a multi-pronged risk mitigation strategy proven to keep COVID-19 from spreading in our schools. If you have questions about these health and safety practices, please contact your school nurse or building principal. For details on each mitigation strategy below and more information about protocols see the NAPS District Reference Guide.

NAPS District Reference Guide

Universal Masking When Inside School Buildings

All students, staff, volunteers, and visitors—vaccinated and unvaccinated—must wear a well-fitting mask while indoors. Mask breaks will be provided throughout the school day.

Stay Home When Ill or Symptomatic

Every morning before you leave for school, check for fever, loss of taste or smell, cough, or other signs of illness. If you have any symptoms of COVID-10, stay home from school. If you feel sick during the school day, tell your teacher right away.

Frequent Handwashing

Throughout the school day, wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water or use hand sanitizer. Hand hygiene is especially important before and after eating or drinking.

Participate in NAPS COVID-19 Testing Program

With parental consent all students can participate in the NAPS COVID-19 testing program which includes symptomatic testing and “test and stay”

Maintain physical distancing

Keep a safe distance between you and other people when possible, especially when you are not wearing a mask.
