Key Steps to Retirement

  1. Contact your retirement board for eligibility. 

  2. Submit a written notice of intent to retire to the Superintendent and Human Resources (letter or email).  Refer to your contract for specific details, incentives and timelines and state the applicable incentive in your letter.   

  3. Submit paperwork from your retirement board to the school payroll office for processing.. Please keep in mind that this may require weeks to complete as there is quite a lot required related to historical payroll. 

  4. The Payroll/Benefits Manager will process and return paperwork to you, as requested, as soon as possible.
